ASG is very much a people-focused business, so it is important we recruit and develop personnel with the right attitude, who are focused on doing a task to the best of their abilities and are willing to embrace any challenges they may face. We are incredibly proud of our track record and the ASG employees who have all contributed to our outstanding service record and growing reputation for excellence.

We also place high importance on ex-forces recruitment, so we are delighted to announce that as of on 20th October 2022 we signed an Armed Forces Covenant, committing to supporting the Armed Forces community. This means that our company is completely Armed Forces friendly and ready to support any service leavers and service spouses/partners.

We are proud to have employees from many diverse backgrounds as part of the ASG family; amongst them are many UK forces veterans. We’ve found that ex-military members really suit the type of work we do here at ASG. Taking a role as a member of our security or concierge teams provides a great opportunity to be doing something familiar, protecting and safeguarding the general public. We also have ex-service personnel in our cleaning teams, site-based management and regional operational management working across all disciplines which suit and lend themselves to the organised, process-driven mindset of ex-military personnel combined with the ability to use their initiative.

Taking the pledge was the next obvious step for ASG and gave a formal structure to our commitment to ex-armed forces recruitment. We want to support our ex-service personnel and their families, and that’s why we decided to apply for the bronze award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). We are delighted to announce that we recently received confirmation that we had successfully attained the award scheme which encourages employers to pledge, demonstrate or advocate support for defence and the armed forces community.

Putting a focus on ex-military recruitment means that we’ll be giving back to the people that helped protect our country. Many veterans can struggle to find work when they return to civilian life, and ex-armed forces recruitment can help them transition into a new career. This can provide them with the stability and purpose they need to adjust to civilian life.

So, we are especially pleased to be able to make our connection with the armed forces more formal and become a signed-up member of the Armed Forces Covenant.

We have a range of vacancies available so if you or any ex-forces friends or family are looking for a new career, simply head to /careers/, fill in the form and attach your CV.
