Once again, The Harvey Centre and their ASG team joined forces with retailers and customers to support the One Great Day fundraising event for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Haven House Children’s Hospice, two children’s charities that are close to the hearts of many families in Harlow.

One Great Day was established in 2014 and has so far raised over £850,000 for more than 330 different children’s charities, along with the Great Ormond Street Hospice Charity. Their aim is to inspire, engage, and empower communities to make a difference by getting involved in a series of local fundraising events, held within shopping centres across the UK.

The event, held on Saturday 24th September, was a huge success with the centre visitors ensuring it truly was ‘One Great Day’, having fun whilst raising a grand total of £2,735.25 for two essential and much-loved charities.

The tombola was a big hit with some fabulous prizes up for grabs, including a family ticket to Paradise Wildlife Park, a signed Spurs pennant and the star prize, a Hugo Boss watch, all generously donated by The Harvey Centre retailers.

Simon Hawkins, ASG Operations Director Security, commented on the event, “These are great occasions to get involved in, lots of fun for the centre visitors and all for very deserving causes. It was ASG’s great pleasure to play our small part and to donate the children’s bicycles, I’m sure they’ll give the lucky winners hours of fun.”

Bryan Young, The Harvey Centre Manager, was delighted with the response, “This couldn’t happen without the support of our amazing retailers and partners and their generous donations, our wonderful visitors, and of course our own ASG teams, they all contribute to making this a successful and fun event. Well done and thank you to all involved”.
