ASG is delighted to be appointed by the managing agent to provide two Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation (formerly the Derwent Group) owned sites with over £2.5m of new security, cleaning, and site-based maintenance services over the next 3 years, following recent new contract wins.
ASG provides a range of facility management services focused around two core services, security and cleaning. Working across a range of sectors including retail, leisure, commercial office, and manufacturing, ASG has built an enviable reputation for their highly professional yet personnel approach to the provision of its services. High-profile wins such as this underpin ASG’s strategy for success and are built by robust management and the development of skilled, motivated staff.
A recent SIA ACS audit put ASG in the top 5% of UK security companies. This outstanding result highlights the dedication to quality that ASG aspires to when it comes to the provision of security and cleaning services across the UK, a factor that was not missed in this most recent tender.
The appointment followed a detailed and complex tender process for the centre management with the award being given for commencement on the 1st April 2022. The contract sees ASG onboard over 60 staff across two high profile retail locations, the Walkden Town Centre complex and Liverpool Shopping Park.
Alistair Clayton, Sales Director Cleaning at ASG commented on the tender process, “This is a great win for everyone at ASG and clearly demonstrates our ability to fully understand the complexities and nuances of an individual site and their service delivery requirements. We endeavour to work closely with our partner clients bringing new innovations and efficiencies to the table, being able to present this in a cohesive manner and demonstrate the advantages of our technical, management, and equipment innovations was a major factor in the award of these contracts.”
ASG is incredibly proud of this appointment and to be working with such a forward-thinking organisation as the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation, managing critical services, security, and cleaning, at two important and prestigious locations.
Nick Atkinson, ASG Managing Director commented, “The tender process was both meticulous and exacting but ultimately allowed us to demonstrate our service solutions, capabilities, and proven track record to the full. I couldn’t be prouder of the tender team, and everyone involved, and ultimately, I think it goes back to ASG’s willingness to go above and beyond the normal requirements on a daily basis and the fact we could demonstrate this is testament to the wider team”.
Catherine Holmes, Centre Manager at Walkden Town Centre commented on the appointment, “ASG’s innovation was a major selling point in the tender process. The sites have a large footprint and ASG demonstrated how they could make the best use of team members by the implementation of smart solutions, utilising innovative, sustainable and cost-effective equipment and technologies to improve delivery of security and cleaning services”.
Management at the Walkden Town Centre complex and Liverpool Shopping Park were also impressed with the involvement and clear direction of experienced senior management at ASG.
Catherine continued, “ASG’s eagerness to build relationships with key local stakeholders such as Greater Manchester Police, in the case of the Walkden centre, and to create a one centre, one team ethos was evident. All in all we were impressed by the energy, enthusiasm, and professional delivery of services that ASG displayed through all stages of the process.”
