Dalton Park Outlet Shopping Centre in County Durham had their washroom, toilet facilities and ASG housekeeping team’s outstanding efforts recognised by the prestigious Loo of the Year Awards for 2022.
The award is a national standard for ‘away from home’ washrooms and encourages the highest possible standards in all ‘away from home’ washrooms; shining the spotlight on those who meet their exacting standards. All entries are fully and rigorously assessed against established judging criteria, covering both male and female facilities, as well as any baby changing, accessible, changing places, space to change or hygiene room facilities. Entries receive a grading; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond following an unannounced visit by a fully trained authorised Loo of the Year Awards inspector.
Dalton Park and the ASG housekeeping team were very proud to be awarded not only an overall Platinum Grade award but also the much coveted ‘Eco’ Toilet of the Year Award for 2022. The Eco-Friendly Toilet Award recognises the most environmentally friendly toilets across the UK and Ireland, focusing on criteria such as energy efficiency, water use efficiency and the use of eco-friendly products such as toilet tissue and cleaning products, in addition to the facilities and standard of upkeep and cleanliness.
