A local community festival held on Sunday 7th July at Tottington St. John’s Cricket Club (near Bury) might sound like a gentle village fete – but with over 7,000 people attending the event, full bar, 6 rock bands, car parking issues and challenging access to the cricket ground – this was event security management heaven!
Kris Brown, Aston Services Group Regional Operations Manager, said, “The event has grown year on year – the organisers work their socks off to prepare for the crowds and for there to be no incidents is a testament to the good nature of this community festival. Knowing how to handle the influx of so many people into a fairly confined space whilst giving the right impression is where we as experienced security officers are critical to the smooth running of events like this.”
