Stronger Together: Developing the Brand
The third Aston Services Group staff conference was held recently at Allied London’s offices, Old Granada Studios.
As a development from the previous conferences, the theme of ‘Stronger Together’ was underlined by Managing Director James Wheeler who set the tone with a presentation of the growth of the group since merger.
An unprecedented 36% increase in turnover had been achieved from July 1st 2016 to October 31st 2017.
Alistair Clayton, Commercial Director, followed this by explaining some of the Big Wins the group had been awarded including Princes Quay, Hull and also some new technologies being introduced such as the Lotus Pro System.
To break up the corporate presentations, a game of Christmas charades ensued with eventual winners being announced by Ian Gilston, Chairman, as:

The conference continued with the showing of the newly produced videos, including the Coca Cola Santa’s Truck visit to Lakeside Village, Doncaster, which, with nearly 40,000 visitors was a huge success and testament to the capabilities and support of our cleaning and security teams.
The Aston Services Corporate Video proved just how far the Group has come with an excellent overview professionally shot and edited to provide a substantial marketing tool.
Group exercises centred on how best to utilise this collateral in communicating the Aston Brand and this was further developed into a wider ‘marketing and PR opportunities’ input session – the feedback from which was wide ranging with several great ideas to progress.
The conference was brought to a close by James Wheeler and everyone was thanked for their input into what has proved again to be a lively and hugely beneficial event.
The conference ‘continued’ at the nearby Vazenda Brazilian Rodizio Dining Room for all-you-can-eat steak and skewered meats, served at the table.
