Shift Duty Manager: Liverpool John Lennon Airport

We are seeking applications for the position of Shift Duty Manager (Cleaning Services), to work in a fast moving  airport environment.

This is a new, senior management position, and successful applicants would be responsible for delivery of our site cleaning operation, management of our shift cleaning teams, and daily liaison with our client representatives. This position operates 12 hour shift patterns over seven days including nights and weekends.

Working an average of 42 hours per week, reporting to the Area Manager, applicants will possess good management and communication skills, delegation qualities, and have the ability to react quickly and effectively to accommodate the demands of a fast-moving airport service.

Effective management of their team, in line with the complex needs of our client is paramount, and applicants will need to demonstrate a strong cleaning background, and a good awareness of health & safety, airport operations, service quality, and training delivery.

Salary: £23,000.00 to £25,000.00 /year

Regional Cleaning Supervisor/Manager

As Regional Cleaning Manager (field based), you will be directly responsible for overseeing, training and motivating our cleaning teams across the region, with additional responsibility for equipment/machinery performance and maintenance.

You will liaise with our clients and employees across our portfolio to ensure that standards are met, equipment is all in order and all documents are up to date including COSSH, training records, day to day audits and cleaning schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

       Team building

        Minor repairs, regular checks and maintenance of on-site machinery (scrubber dryers, buffers etc.)

        Overseeing rotas, provided to you by individual site supervisors/managers

        Build and develop positive customer relationships

        Delivering training in cleaning/machinery/equipment.

        Systems and Procedures

        Quality Control - audits and inspections

        Health & Safety



About you 

Due to our continued growth and expansion we are now looking for someone who is experienced in supervising/managing people and leading our teams to deliver the necessary standards of customer service and cleaning performance.

You will be tenacious, flexible in your working hours and approach and be willing to travel on a daily basis as the business requires.

We are looking for a candidate who has the following experience and capabilites:

> Machinery/equipment maintenance/use.

> Proven supervisory/management experience – ideally within the Facilities/Shopping Centre sector



> Excellent communication skills

> IT literate (essential)

> A passion to develop and enhance our business


The Package:

The successful candidate will receive a starting package of an annual salary of £20-£25,000 dependent on experience, knowledge and qualifications, the benefit of a fully expenses paid company vehicle including personal mileage, mobile phone and company laptop.

You will also receive one to one, on the job detailed training coupled with a personal development plan that will support your career progression in a fast growing environment. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow, gain an SIA accreditation and progress within Aston Services Group.

Starting Salary: £20-£25 K per year dependent on knowledge, experience and qualification.
